The NASCAR Cup Series takes the green flag at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama this weekend, and Thomas’® Bagels will celebrate by giving back to the local community. Thomas’ will donate 20 bagels for each of the race’s scheduled 500.08 miles, for a total of 10,000 bagels. The donation will benefit the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama to help feed those in need.
Thomas’ Bagels along with Philadelphia Cream Cheese will adorn the sides of Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s No. 47 Boost by Kroger Camaro for this weekend’s race.
“I get to work with so many great partners that are associated with our Kroger Racing program in various ways,” said Stenhouse. “But when a partner like Thomas’ also wants to look at ways to give back and help the local communities where we race, that’s really something special. Talladega is definitely a good racetrack for our Boost by Kroger team and we’re hoping we can make all the fans hungry when they see our Thomas’ Bagel and Philadelphia Cream Cheese racecar out front on Sunday.”
Bimbo Bakeries USA is a long-time supporter of Feeding America and in 2023, donated more than 26.5 MM pounds of product to 116 local food banks in the Feeding America network.
