Bimbo Bakeries USA’s 2022 summer interns are heading back to campus after completing their internship with the company. 25 college students spent their summer in BBU’s bakeries, offices and sales centers exploring different career paths, honing skills and applying what they have learned in the classroom to a professional environment.
The interns, representing colleges and universities across the country, worked with associates in various BBU functions including Engineering, Operations, Sales, Human Relations, Finance and more.
“Working as a Learning and Development intern over the past ten weeks has been a once in a lifetime experience. It provided me with opportunities to develop meaningful relationships with associates on the North America Talent team and work with various departments,” said Olivia Lender, Learning and Development Intern. “The skills developed such as technology, people skills, and analyzing material are concepts that I will take with me to any future career. BBU has provided me with a work foundation that will allow me to flourish throughout my professional journey. I am truly grateful for the company and individuals involved throughout the process.”
In addition to their role-based assignments, each week the interns also took part in a speaker series where they met with their peers and leaders within BBU to hear about their roles.
To wrap up BBU’s summer internship program, the students celebrated at BBU’s Sales Center in Conshohocken, PA for a graduation ceremony.
Thank you to all BBU’s summer interns. Cheers to a new school year!
